Teenbeat Mayhem Compilation

I received my box of promo freebies the other day.

I'm very happy overall, but there are a couple noteworthy gaffs to point out:
The most noticeable is the meta tag for the displayed track listings are not correct (The first track displays track 23, Track 3 displays Track 15, etc).
This is due to the original recorded track order, as quite a few songs could not be included. No one thought to change the meta tag when the songs were reshuffled after audio work and then compiled into the listed running order.

There is also a skip in the Legynd track that could not be repaired. The disc itself is barely playable, Freddy Fortune did a bang up job getting it to sound VG minus from P+ condition. I forgot to mention the skip/defect in the liner notes, so I'm sure we will get scores of alerts and complaints.

I hope everyone is content with the release, we did our best to rescue these 'deserve to be heard' one of a kind, playworn lacquers.

I'm pleased to say I just had my first session listening to Teenbeat Mayhem "Deserve To Be Heard". WOW !! As great as I had expected !
First off - the packaging and notes are fantastic, including much needed info on the Teenbeat Mayhem PDF & mention of tuning in to Teenbeat Mayhem radio. The colors are rich & vibrant, a beautiful presentation. As for the sound - an amazing job of extracting all the music that can be heard with no excessive filtering on lesser condition discs. A real sonic achievement.
As for the music itself, loads of great sides that would otherwise have gone unheard. Not only top notch prime era garage blasters - but a nice mix with a few moody titles as well.
For me there are many highlights, especially The Merchants, The Legions, The What?, the great Rogues V, The Sound Of Five, The Clergymen & several "Unknown Group" selections. Many of these sides would hold firm places in the TBM ratings selections.
Special thanks to MTM for the time , effort & expertise involved in putting this great package together & to Mr. Fortune & Gear Fab for all their commitment in making this comp available.
In short - an essential purchase !

Wow, It's such an exciting listen. Hits and misses all over. I love this comp.
Can't wait for the GNOMES and co comp.

Aight, this ain't a "Best Of" of anything, but man is this an exciting listen.
So much to discover in there. Give it a multiple spins, and you'll be digging gold.
Master work of MTM.
