No doubt. I had planned to save it for serious reading on Sunday and only sneak a peak tonight... but my "thumb through" tonight took two hours! I do find that the ratings are way too low on my favorite sounds: teen jangle. I need to compare some of my ratings with the final tallies but I'm sure I scored some of the better known ones way higher than the mean. Overall though, it's hard to argue with many of the final scores.

I could go and on, but needless to say expectations were more than met. It's a 9 on the garage-o-meter! I can't wait to dig deeper.

Glad to hear preorders are finding their way around. I'm just about caught up with mailings, so everyone here who prepaid should get their copies by Monday.

I'm really bugged and embarrassed about the errors I caught when I got the first copy - the 5 that I have hand-marked are fixes that most people would not know are mistakes...however, the Contents page lists a few chapters with the incorrect page numbers. I spotted this goof-up maybe three days after I OK'd the final proof for the go-ahead to print - I guess I never checked the Contents page one last time . We used the wrong pdf, so forgive me on those couple of page number errors. Everyone should be able to find their way around in the book..I hope. This, and the printer result layer / overprint error, as explained on the sheet I affixed to the lead in page with noted corrections are the reason books will be delayed slightly once the onslaught of orders start coming in - I'm marking and correcting every copy that leaves my door.

The 2 copies I ordered arrived yesterday! I found it very easy to read the individual 45 entries. The book's a nice size too, not overly large or heavy. The sturdy binding and hard cover was the right choice. The color scans look great and the text promises to be good reading. I'll comment again after I've had some more time to read through it. Great job, Mike, it was worth the wait!

Thank you for keeping us updated. Also thank you for your hours of research and hard work to make the book possible. I'm sure like many others I will be spending much of my spare time reading and learning more about these lesser known bands from the 1960's.

Ordered through Ugly Things website. Total cost (inc shipping) to England is £84

That is the most I've ever spent on a book.
Just phoned Prince Charles at Buck Palace and he is interested but said he's more into acid punk. But you never know, he might buy a couple of copies for some Prince Regents he knows.

Just ordered one for myself via UT. The preview on the Priceless Info site looks amazing. Nice to see the Q page come up as I recall that was the first letter we worked on rating so long ago - 2004 or thereabouts.
