Teenbeat Mayhem launch date......

I'm hoping that the book will weigh just under 4 pounds with the padded priority mail envelope, that would keep the postage to about $18 downunder. Otherwise, postage fees will cost something like $45 per copy!

Mate, if the book's gonna be as comprehensive as I've heard the cost of postage won't be problem.

Latest news - The book is going to press on June 11th.
I should get the proofs (cover and text) within 10 days. After that the books go into manufacturing mode, and they will be back here sometime in mid July.
The website for my publishing company, Priceless Info Press, will have full details and ordering info. My overseas (non US customers) - I'm hoping to land a merchant account and not use paypal if possible. Such news will be posted once I find out if I can get one (doubtful but I shall try).

Important note - a friend just googled my book and discovered that it is already listed on the Barnes and Noble website as being available for pre-order at a discounted rate. I never entered into any agreement with them to distribute my book - some minion just took my info from Bowker and went ahead with the listing. DO NOT order my book at Barnes and Noble. I am not selling my book to ANY distributor!! You will only be able to purchase it on-line at the Priceless Info Press website.
If you fall prey to the Barnes and Noble unauthorized listing, and order it, you will not get my book, and lose your $$$, as they only issue credit, not refunds. I've politely asked B&N to remove my entry, let's see how long it takes. i feel bad for someone who sees this listing, as they will be the one to get screwed!

I'm really happy, for you and for us, that the book is done and almost ready to be sold. I don't mind the money-order if it's not possible to pay via internet. I can't wait to hold it in my hands!

The Countdown BEGINS.:D

I expect to have the TeenBeatMayhem cover, text and label scan color proofs in my hand next week, on the 18th or 19th. Will try to keep everyone on G45 posted here, and on my blog. Postage costs are still uncertain for overseas customers, so I'll need a hard copy to make sure of weight, charges, etc.

As soon as I can establish a biz bank account (waiting for paperwork to be registered and returned) and get a payment gateway up for overseas customers if possible, I will announce the official, flag dropping, 'order away'. Expect this announcement around the 2nd week of July. The way the goverment, banks, etc drag their feet in business (except when it comes to getting their tax money) I do not anticipate the process to move in quick fashion.

Latest news:

I will keep everyone informed via my TeenBeat Mayhem! blog:

http://teenbeatmayhem.blogspot.com/

The status of the book, the making of the book, and the return of featured 45rpm "Spins" are now posted on my blog. Bookmark the page so you'll be up to date with the progress of the printing job, and get the story of how the book came to be during over the course of 20 years. The blog had been inactive for quite some time; it will now contain all things related to the book, and be updated on a regular basis.

Enjoy!

I'm just enjoying your selection of summer spins on your blog. Wonderful!
"Florida Sun" by the Coronados is awesome. Well, in fact all tracks are.
It would make a great comp. Summer in the garage!

The Surf Knights-wow! Way cool song and the label is just beautiful!
And the U.S. Beatles- giving me just the right chills against the summer heat!
Thanks, Mike. You put a smile on my face...

Glad you like them. I"ll be deleting and changing the 45s up by the upcoming weekend. I think this time I will feature some of those "throwback" sounding 45s recorded in the 70s that sound 60s. I've had a few requests to toss up some of these unknown sides.

I'd like to hear that stuff. I recall a year or two back you did a MopTop Spins of some '80s garage revival tracks that were very good. I also enjoyed your blog article about the history of TBM. I like seeing ephemera such as the old cassette track listings.

Everyone has to order directly from me, no matter where you are located.
If the weight of the book doesn't allow for a first class international flat rate postage ($16.95 to most countries), I'll have to ship parcel post for about the same price.
Of course, everyone has the option to go priority but that will run about $45 or so.

People can order as many copies of TBM as they wish, postage cost and options will have to be calculated. If you do get a bunch of friends to order it might be best, since everyone can chip in

I've had a listen to the '70s Spins. Terry Rogers is the pick of them for me. There seems to be a problem with the Tracks 'Time Passes Slowly'. I can't download a proper mp3 file.
