The '60s garage autograph thread

Armand must has enjoyed singning sleeves immensely, not just w/ the Churchmice:
The "kill me" seemed to have been his pretty standard inscription in his younger days.
I can't recall if I ever saw that on one of his LPs. Need to check my copy of Ratfucker to see what's on the cover (besides the guitar pick).

The hardest band to track. "The Hog" is getting laid every night at what uni? ("Have a big old blast at Uni of....") Nebraska?
"Carp" is obviously tune smith Carpenter. Where/what is Lawrence. High school? Uni? We need all leads we can.View attachment 6090
Hey that's my beat up copy of the Gnomes! Lol. Nice thread, I've got a few autographed 45 that'll try to dig up too

When I saw this, my immediate thought was Lawrence, Kansas - home to the University of Kansas. As an alum of the University of Colorado, I'm well aware that the Universities of Colorado, Kansas, and Nebraska were all members of the Big 8 conference (later the Big 12). They are also relatively close geographically. Not sure if this helps at all - just sharing my thought process.

Here are a few more - the Alarm Clocks signed the sleeve of a reissue, and the Ritual was found in a thrift store many years ago. Most of the LPs were signed in person, though the Rob Tyner was found at a flea market and the Gene Clark at a friend's garage sale - he got it signed himself and sold it to me for 50 cents! (and also wrote his name on the back cover...).

I'm betting Lawrence Wisconsin. As I dig, I'm getting more and more certain they were from WI. But we'll see.

Things seem slow around here so I thought I'd put up a few more autographs. Half secured in person, the rest purchased at record shows or found in the wild. Some may quibble with the relevance to this forum of some of these, but Andre Williams wrote garage standard "Shake a Tail Feather," Billy Nix's "Moon Twist" is a pre-garage fave with a hot guitar break, and the Arbors' version of "Hey Joe" from their second LP is a pretty great psych version of that tune.
