The best worst ranked songs in Teenbeat Mayhem

This is one of my fave songs of all time. I'm so proud that I got to track them and interview them.
It absolutely takes my breath away.

I agree with Mikael on most of the above picks (that they may be under-rated). But my ratings would be significantly less than his, for each one. As usual, great taste and insight from Mikael.

My ratings (first impression only!)

Knights Bridge Quintet - LOADF = 3.31
Nite Watchment - TYOD = 2.22
Scruffy Group - LG = 4.26
Mike Alexander & the Visions - PGL = 4.05
Barons - Words and expressions 0.21 (yet another Knights in White Satin spinoff - or do they both copy an earlier song?)
Prophets - FFS = 3.53
South Soul - L = 6.12 (the song wouldn't load properly, so this rating is based on the first half)
Fred Gartner & the Ferraris - ATYG = 3.66
Kaks - (LI)ITHOL = 5.01 (I rated this BEFORE I saw Mike's post!)

I don't have a copy of TBM on hand, but I'd bet that these two are way underrated by my tastes:

8.89

9.79

"So many people tell me I'm nothing but a nothing"
Incredible outsider weeper (yet again). You gotta give this a few plays before it hits.
Paul Lanzendorfer died three years ago this fall. RIP brother!

Rank: 5 (not THAT disappointing)
My rank: 9

A ratings guide isn't so relevant these days as there aren't that many records for sale / auction for which a sound file isn't provided, or you can't find on YouTube, but if one had to rely on a ratings guide, I think the vast majority would be a lot more likely to be happy with their purchase / win if they'd relied on TBM rather than the Guide of Mikael. Not that it isn't good to be made to consider / reconsider other people's favourites - it's always appreciated.

In general I don't think there are many really bad mis-ratings in TBM. In any case, it's a combined opinion taken at a point in time. For many on the ratings panel, they were hearing some of the records for the first time. Most of the differences I have personally are in the 6-7 rated area. There are a lot that could have been 9's and 10's in that area, I think. Like the Wanted "Here To Stay" (7) is a 10 in my book. In TBM, if an unknown record is rated 6 or 7, I always assume it could easily be a 9 or 10. The panel was quite stingy with 8, 9 and 10 ratings in my opinion. The same happens at 5. The difference between 4 and 5 is subtle, but the difference between 5 and 6 is often huge. Nearly all the 6's are major killers.

Goosebumps, Mikael! Thnx for reminding.

I don't have the book handy right now, but I'm guessing this masterpiece scored like three.
I just noticed that there's another song playing in the background about half into the song.
All in all an incredible tune (7)

Another goose bumper that I have spent HOURS listening to. Yep, and weeping again.
No book handy, but I think this got like a three or four.
