Hi everyone,

I'm new here but have been a lurker for a little while. Recently, I've been very interested in adding the above 45 (The Explorers - Jennifer Ann/Blue Flavored Lollypop) to my collection. Would love it if someone were to be willing to make a sale to me. I'm looking for minimum, a strong VG- but would prefer VG+ or better. I'm willing to pay up to $750 depending on condition. Edit: Based on MopTopMike's comment to my initial post - If anyone has a VG or below that plays decent that they're willing to sell, I'm willing to chat. Also, if anyone has a better than VG+, I'm willing to chat - have a bit of flexibility. Thanks MopTopMike.

I've been looking for a clean copy for 30+ years with no luck.
My copy is VG minus but plays much better.
I would think if a clean one in VG+ condition or better is offered (or auctioned) it would fetch at least $1,000 with lots of competition.

Hi MopTopMike. Thanks for the reply. I've noticed a number of VG's-VG+'s on popsike (can't recall now but maybe even an Ex...6 45's total) that top out at about $500. I thought $750 would be reasonable but if anyone on here has the 45 and would like to chat, I'm happy to do so...I have a bit of flexibility.

The label it was issued on (Sandy's) was a midwest burger chain like McDonalds.
Was this given away with a purchase or were the owners trying to branch out into the record business?

I read somewhere that it was a giveaway but couldn’t really find all that much information and was, as far as I could tell, unconfirmed information.

I checked my notes. All five members were contacted by a midwest based collector 30 years ago. No copies were found. There are people in that area who collect Sandy's memorabilia and copies are likely in their collections. Very few exist in record collections.

Thanks for the info. MTM. That’s interesting but good explanation why they would be relatively scarce. If I remember correctly, I think the last Sandy’s closed down in ’79 or thereabouts. At any rate, as luck would have it, through a bit of poking around, I happened to find a G+ today that I purchased. Not too pleased with that grading but it’ll do till I find an upgrade. That said, if anyone’s still looking to sell a VG or better, message me!!

Just want to bump this post up. I found a G+ copy but would like an upgrade if anyone can help me out. Willing to pay well to upgrade!
