The Official Quantity Find list

A trustworthy source has confirmed what I had suspected (for a long time too)....there is a decent quantity of the Fifth Generation on Fone Booth.

Let's just note that almost everyone who would want a copy for their collection would be able to get one.
So, if you are thinking of bidding up for a copy listed on eBay, I would suggest keeping very close to a low minimum bid and not screw yourself out of your hard-earned cash.

The Intruders on Marlo seems another one with at least small quantity availlable . Two different dealers on ebay with "unplayed" copies . Does anybody know more ?

Oooh..... I just bought a Sands of Time - Red Lights with autographed sleeve, and another one popped up on ebay this week. Anybody know if a few have turned up ? I love the record, so I'm still happy, just curious

Just got my copy of "Red Lights", and it's minty, minty, mint. The seller wasn't fibbing about that. Also I like the "pop turkey" flip side. It sounds like the stuff I used to dance to 40 years ago. Would have been a monster at Wigan Casino, but that scene went too anal so it would be ignored today.

I got the one I sold from BW, who seemed to have more. But I know a local Texan also dug up a few. Dunno if they are all part of the same find.

I got an unplayed copy for about $300 in 2003 approx, from the shellacshack guy in Texas. Thought I might sell it for a good profit eventually but looks like I held on too long. The next one after mine went for about $3K.

The recent Runaways find was me, I got a total of 5 copies in a small random collection I bought earlier in the year. Sold three copies at ARC, and one privately.

Shellacshack has been periodically listing copies since 2003-4. He must have found stock somewhere back in the day, but he won't reply to inquiries on how many copies he has left or when he will sell another. Truth be told, his 45 auctions don't always seem to garner a whole of fan fare, which is often good for the buyer. He is a well known 78 dealer who helped write a 78 price guide.
If you look at old popsike/frenzy listings, you'll see his tell tale listing style in the description of several of the results, where he grades 45's according to the 78 grading scale.

The Trackers was also me, I had originally purchased only 10 copies, but over the course of a couple years ended up with around 50+ copies before they were all purchased from the source. A large chunk of my copies went to Wickham, who has been responsibly leaking them out to protect a reasonable price for both the seller and buyer.

Post script! Just now looking at the auction that was linked... This was a totally different auction than what I was referring to earlier. I hadn't even seen this listing up and I am always searching garage 45 auctions on ebay! It must have been listed around the same time the Shellacshack listing was up. Wow, I have no idea where this other copy came from, but I seriously doubt it came from the copies I found.

I was the second highest bidder on that Runaways 45. One day later the seller (1960galaxy) sends me a second chance offer (don't know the exact term). I told him I was still interested, but also asked how many of these he has got. Of course he didn't reply. And I didn't buy it then. It hink it's sold now for 556 $ to the third highest bidder.

It's something about the way that 45 looks in the picture provided, so box fresh, original sleeve not even faded. A full box find would not seem unreal.
