The Official Quantity Find list

I'm sure Arlie had 100 of every Milky Way label title. He advertised them in Goldmine as far back as 1980, maybe even earlier. Dean Carter "Rebel Woman" was $25 back then.
Bob Pegg also sold these titles, which meant that Arlie must've sold half of the load, or some portion of it to Pegg. Pegg was always eager to buy titles in quantity.

I bought my "Rebel woman" off Bob Pegg 4 or 5 years ago.

I have no idea how many copies were found of these :
Destiny's Children - Pyro
Outcasts - Sola
Solid Ground - Apro
All of these were plain white label test pressings ( ? ) . I don't know who originally turned these up in the mid90's . I saw a bunch of them at a Scottsdale dealers place , maybe Dan N. can shed some light on this .

Updated.

Also added Jades on Renay (I ain't got you) Was there quantity on their other on Renay as well? And how about the Jades on Ector?

Plus Sugar Cube Blues Band. I still don't own this. Could never decide wether I found the constipated vocalist grating on the ears or not, + the price was steadfast at $150. Guess he is out of them now? Because now I would like one.

Also, memory a bit more sketchy on this but both Banshees 45s on Solo?

I've been trying to search for old Loos Foos auctions but it is impossible. Surely I wasn't the only one on this here forum to pick this up in unplayed condition for prices evening out at $50 in the late 2000s?

Both Jades on Renay were in quantity. Actually just about everything on Renay, Rita, ARA and Good (all imprints owned by Roland Janes and productions from his Sonic Studio) were in quantity. A dealer from Sweden or somewhere bought out his remaining stock a little over a decade ago and now only leaks them out. But I believe there's likely still lots of them. A Memphis dealer scored quantity of the Sugar Cube Blues Band 45. Not all that many. 15-25 or so. I got and sold 4 of them. Much like you I never could decide if I really liked it. Didn't keep one and I'm not missing it.

Bugs "Albert Albert" with sleeve -- Deborah DeMarco and Reed Lappin turned up quantity in 1984, while on a Plan 9 tour. I believe they also made the Echoes of Carnaby Street haul at the same time.

Frank Merrill turned up quantity on a few Alaska 45s in the mid-80s, including the Crusade. Not sure exactly how many. He was also selling all those Vaughn Ltd./Malcolm Z. Dirge 45s for dirt cheap. I think he also turned up several copies of the Era of Sound "Girl In The Mini Skirt" at the time. I remember losing a copy for $3 on his list one time, and him telling me that he'll get some more and sell me one at that time.

Kurt Curtis turned up five copies of We The People on Hotline around 1990 or so. I got two of them (and sold one). The others went to a local record broker who quickly flipped them, and I imagine they must be in collections now.

Also... there was a box of 25 Mike Alexander & The Visions "Your Day Has Come" 45s in Richard Minor's warehouse. He also had maybe 8-9 copies of "Twelve Month Coming" by the Enfields on his shelves.

The following 45s have been added from the old g45 site:

Thank you very much for this list! Making it so much easier. Will update within next 24 hours.

I thought we were only counting things that were actually made in the 60's.

Sorry, I didn't know some of these were new'ish. I don't follow neogarage, nor do I own any of the two. Is it the Huntsmen?

Edit: Yes, Huntsmen. F*ck. Forgotten about that!

The source behind the tunes has stated different dates, but sometime between 1979-1980 for the Huntsmen and Katz Kradle recordings.
Made for "yucks" at the time but some attempted to try and pass off as being from '60s vintage. As you can see, it still occurs to this day.

If there is only one known copy of a killer insanely rare garage 45, let's say THE KNIGHTSMEN on Ikon and someone, hopefully me finds another copy, wouldn't that be considered a QUANTITY FIND?

Isn't the Wylde Mainiacs another 80's garage band trying to pass as a 60's band?

We're not referring to number of known copies.
Quantity should mean 10 or more of a single title sourced in one or more warehouse loads / person contact finds at specific points in time during the past 30-35 years.

I was being a wise guy, thus the little squiggley face at the end:confused:
