Yeah it's a minefield that's only going to get worse. I'm very happy that TBM is going to list them in detail, but still concerned that as the list of repro 45s grows, the TBM reference list will gradually become outdated.

People have been bootlegging doowop and rockabilly 45s longer than I've been alive. The number of bootlegged 45s in those genres must be deep into the hundreds by now. But how many of us have been sold bootlegs attempted to be passed off as originals?

Possibly this quantity find is as of recent: The Chateaus Count On Me/Summer Has Come And Gone JAM#114, Louisvile, KY. Seller in KY, on ebay seems to have multiple copies of this on the JAM label, as well as , Paul Penny, Cosmo & The Sultans, all store mint/originals (styrene).

The Chateaus is a $25 record, so I doubt they will move fast. All copies of that 45 are vinyl pressings, at least the ones I have seen/had.

I had about 20 copies of The Lost Legends on Onyx in the late 80's..

Those records have been available forever. A record store in Louisville was selling new copies for $5 for years. I suspect the store is gone (or gone online only) but the stock is still not depleted. Back in the early days of eBay a couple sellers were offering the same titles constantly, I think BIN for 9.99 or 14.99. Many of the other records on those L'ville lables, Jam, Boss, Top Dog, were available in the same way.

Seems I was citing this a while back as a repro of a quantity item. Looks like maybe what I saw was this though. The remainder 45's housed in repro sleeves. Re: the Loos Foos, the seller never replied to my email about how he aquired them so I guess that story is lost in space for the time being.

Thanks, but it was not eargasm/Paul. Sussed out who it was thanks to Expo67 but the seller never replied so I guess he does not care much any longer since he´s unloaded his stash.

Yep!!! That would be me, Mr Frantic!!! I didn't have a stash of those..If memory serves me well, I brought it down to the Boro when I moved from Mass a couple years earlier. It's such a great record and should still be available when it turns up for a reasonable price.

I have no idea about the scarcity of this disc though, since I have not been looking for it.

I don't know how many were turned up but at a record show in Greenville last week I saw 3 copies of the Vandals 45 from Georgia. Asking price was $500 each. great fuzz, terrible song.
