The Velvet Underground movie

Some good material for sure, love the early 60's stock NYC street / background film, though the split screen format becomes a bit headache inducing after a while.

Best bits to my mind being the Cale commentary, Jonathan Richmans observations and essentially any observation by Mo, Martha , Mary W. and Merrill (Lou's sister).

Quite astonishing, really, that for a combo surrounded by cameras during their prime there is effectively no watchable Cale era concert footage. The Factory rehearsal is priceless, of course, but the paucity of Cale era audio /video is a tragedy of sorts. A significant one...

Just for kicks, it would have been fun for fans if Todd Haynes had thrown in a scene of the VU at The Factory with the Warhol
crew in the style of his earlier music biopic Superstar: The Karen Carpenter Story...acting out the scene using Barbie dolls! (lol)
