Hello

I stumbled upon a pack of "Theaves" in the TBM. They got a pretty nice rating (both 6:ers) and from what I gather from the description it should be just up my alley.

I wanted to listen to it but I can't find it anywhere.

What gives?
Does anybody know?

Grateful for an answer.

'Twas slated for reissue (I lobbied for a 45rpm release) but it has not transpired. I did not submit it to Tim for the Last Of The Garage Punk Unknowns comp series because of the planned reissue.

Spoke with two surviving members of the group years ago (ten?).
Neither had a copy of the disc, or barely remembered both songs, which are recorded on a blank label acetate - it was never pressed on a 45rpm single.
The person who bought it ahead of me (literally two minutes earlier than when I initially spotted it for sale) is from Europe.
Not the Caveman hoarder, thankfully.

"ABSOLUTE SORROW"

Despite the promisingly apolyptic title a pretty pedestrian affair. Great sound, love the guitar and the drums but the track is just to fragmented and winding to catch my interest. I'd rate it a five after the first listening but I'm in a funny mood today so I might change my mind.

"ECSTACY"

Hm. Really awkward drumtrack to this and some crazy funny farm organ in the background (that organ sounds like it is an old tugger played by Pop-Eye, high on spinach).
Since I'm still in a funny and slightly pissed off mood, I give it a 4 star rating. On a ten scale. It somewhat reminds me of Beer's Some Kinda Rich Girl that frustrates me because some days I hate that song, and others I love it.
