Les Tabeling of The Try-Angle ('Writing on the Wall', Orlyn Records and an all-time fave) recently submitted some info to 60sgaragebands.com and I was very pleasantly surprised to learn the group recorded a follow-up single which remained unreleased. It's pretty cool stuff for those who dig the single like I do. The songs are on Reverbnation and at the bottom of my interview page (see below). Since Les isn't selling the songs and they are unavailable elsewhere, does anybody have the software to grab them from the widget? I'd really like to be able to listen to them when and where I want. Let me know if anybody can grab mp3s.

If so, please don't post anywhere and let's keep them among forum members in case Les has greater plans, knowing that we're all likely to buy if they are ever offered for sale. Thanks.

World of negative numbers was a really great song! Thanks for linking to this. I actually also enjoyed the 2010 re-recording of Writing on the wall. It´s got it´s charm fer shure!

Try again later. Looks like Divshare is down at the moment (the last hour or so).
The links should work fine when they've sorted out their problem.

wow... killer... thanks

Try-Angle are one of my favourite bands... if I had the cash, I would have purchased their Orlyn 45 for 700 bucks (which got offered to me last year) I will regret it.

World Of Negative Numbers is RIGHT UP my street.

I too dig the picture at the top.... It's been brought to my attention, that wearing the shirt untucked, was a real PUNK statement in 1965/66.

I'm gonna have to say... the 2010 version bugged me... they've ruined the genius of the original for me.... that's my opinion guys, sorry!

Yeah, the 2010 version ain't gonna appeal to most of us garagenogoodniks. It reeks of softness, no edge, bland and boring.

I´m sure the "us" you refer to will completely agree with you. In the meantime, the rest of the other "us" enjoys this because "we" love the original and thinks it is quite enjoyable that mr vocalist is quite recognizable and simply because it still sounds like a garage band, quite literally.

Quite.

Seriously Mike, lighten up or lose the "us".

You need to lighten up whenever encountering an opinion different from your own.
This song sounds no different from the stuff I had to play during my paid on-air DJ gig in the late 1980s. A bit more minimalistic, but still fits in with the rest of that laid back soft A/C rock sound which hasn't changed much since 1986.

I have no problem with differing opinions, it's just that your comment sounded more like the universal truth since you seemed to speak for many, not just yourself.

Anyway, I'm not going all troll on this matter. I find the re-recording charming, you don't.

"World Of Negative Numbers" NEEDS to get issued!!!

That is a creepy monster.... The christian overtones are so funny and that fuzz is evil. 10/10. The Try-Angle, 3 in 1, yeah defiantly, a 60's fuzz gospel band? Hallelujah Brother.

I always love a garage punk song obsessed with mathematical anomalies.

the 2010 version of 'Writing on The Wall' isn't cool... that stupid synth sound ruins it... there is no argument... ditch the synth and it's a little bit better.

; )

Man, these are genius sides, thanks for posting. Both are definite g45 unreleased top 100 material imho. This might even be my fave piano/trumpet driven teen garage tune....but then again i guess there aren't too many o' those.
