Almost sounds like early psych. What do you think?

Little Danny at Officenaps.com included the Ultramates on a mix he did a few years ago. The unifying theme is pre-psych & "atmosphere." Recommended.
AM Radio Dust

definitely a psych record imho, sounds like a cross between something from the first CJ & The Fish alb and The Search Party, eerie trippy goodness, thanks for sharing this Joey

WOW...Recorded at Gold Star, the ULTRA MATES were a studio group consisting of Darlene Love and the Blossoms. How cool is that?! Early '63 Black Girl Psych...yeah

did they later re-release the flip to this song as The Birdies?....

WOAH!!!!!!!!!! I just checked my data base and sure enough, the 45 was re-released on the same label in 1964 as the by the BIRDIES, except the flip is now called Huckelbuck '65 (see GIRLS IN THE GARAGE volume 8) instead of just Hucklebuck. Good call Reyes!!!

Don't quite know that I hear this as psych... it's more like the sound that the white lines in the middle of a desert highway make at 2 in the morning. Yeah... David Lynch.

While it may not quite be psych, it's a lot more psych than 1/2 the stuff being peddled as psych.
