Up the ante - THE BEST TWO-SIDER!

Damn it, this reminds me of some other great track!

AWESOME song, by the way. Had totally forgotten about my purchase of Up From The Grave. I need to dive into my collection of garage music again.

I Said No is a bit too pedestrian in my spoiled ears, but Rivers Of Hate is totally amazing..

..now, what song does it sound like..?

Yeah, the record is great - but how about the amazing "Voyage To the Planet Of Prehistoric Women" being shown as a video clip ! Anybody else here think it is a gem of a film ?

Ned

I put together that Rivers of Hate video, so thanks Ned, your return cheque is in the mail.
You can get the Voyage to the Planet of Prehistoric Women movie as a free download from archive.org Apparently it is public domain. Some American filmmakers took a Russian sci-fi film and added the girls and rubber monster.

Another 2-sided acid-punk CONQUEROR is The Bourbons psychedelic horror story A Dark Corner sounding more ominous than any track by the 13:th Floor Elevators. True teenage witchdoctor shit.

Of Old Approximately is more on the garage-y side but still sinisterly acid-burnt. The guitar is working overtime, as does the snot.

My most recent 45 purchase is a pretty mindboggling 2 sider...
The Bucaneer's - You're Never Gonna Love Me Anymore / I'm A Fool
...a coupla other fave 2 siders...
First Crow To The Moon - The Sun Lights Up... / Spend Your Life
Dean Carter - Jailhouse Rock / Rebel Woman
The Heathens - The Other Way Around / Problems
...

I like the suggestion of the Five Bucks 45 (anybody got a spare copy? I need that one bad!).

Here are some other Michigan Two-Siders that are hard to top:

The Quests - Shadows in the Night / I'm Tempted (Fenton)

Beaux Jens - She Was Mine / Trouble Baby (Sound of the Sceen)

The Rationals - Feelin' Lost / Little Girls Cry (A-Square)

And for greasy garage grooves, does it get any better than Question Mark & the Mysterians - 96 Tears / Midnight Hour ???

How about 2-siders with contrasting sides? I like

The Shy Guys – 'Black Lightening Light' / 'Goodbye To You'
with its Acid Punk vs Acid Ballad contrast, and my favorite is

The Modds – 'Leave My House' / 'All The Time In The World'
Brain tearing teen punk on A, and a heart tearing teen ballad on B

Did anyone post
The Choir - It's Cold Outside / I'm Going Home
?
IMO one of the best ever.

my fave (Illusions) was already mentioned right at the beginning, but how about

CAVALIERS: 7 days of crying/checkmate
FABS: bag i'm in/dinah wants religion
and most of all:
TRY-ANGLE: writing on the wall/I'm coming home
