Maybe on a surf comp?
With Max Range, the 'pre-Roky' vocalist for The Lingsmen and Ronnie Leatherman, The 2nd bass player for The Thirteenth Floor Elevators after Benny T. quit the band. A nice Texas 'Hill Country' surf record. This one caught my eye (and ears) recently. The a-side is kind of a lame ballad but "Kurl" on the flip is pretty awesome. I can't even find it on one of the hundreds of homemade comps floating out in the ethos.
Does anyone know which TV station (San Antonio?) aired the performance?Denny Ezba & The Goldens live in Texas 1964. Augie Meyers already is wailing away on the Vox Continental combo organ...
Jason? Enlighten us...Does anyone know which TV station (San Antonio?) aired the performance?
Apparently a nineties recording however, by Mr. Mark Lee AllenHold on, crude and rude
Québec?Unreleased (french?) freakbeat, though I don't know how a french band could have cut an Audiodisc acetate
Maybe! It was found in Lille, France but I guess the acetate might have travelledQuébec?
the vocalist sounds more Québec than France to me but his accent isn't super strong so not sureMaybe! It was found in Lille, France but I guess the acetate might have travelled
