your Best Of Beat Club picks??

The real early episodes are a hoot. They look like they were shot in a church basement and the dancing teens look pretty joyless.

The Godz connection is via Jim McCarthy, who was in both bands.

    The Pretty Things Box set

I did enquire on Reelin' In The Years FB page about the status of the DVD. They do not have any plans at this time to put it out independently of the box set. So, at least right now, it would appear that the only way to get the DVD will be to splash out for the box set.

Just an average night at the Hollywood Tower Records Store in 1971

Would love to see the bargain bins as well as what was in the imports section. No doubt a lot of records that command stupid amounts of money in the here and now. Of course, by the time Tower came to Massachusetts, the CD era was well underway. :(

Review of new Rhino comp 'Dig That Undergroun Sound'

Given that it's not terribly expensive ($30 for 3 CDs), it might be worth it for those looking to hear the VAMP track in what I am presuming is excellent sound quality. But, yeah, otherwise, it appears to serve as a sampler of Rhino's other compilations; the Los Angeles and San Francisco box...
