Another new sound system

Not sure what you're comparing it to, Jim - this is the only transfer I'm aware of that Mark has done on his Moon-based system of this song. Did I miss something?
I did compare it to earlier flacs of other songs that were done in the bunker days. Sorry for the confusion Daniel. Since those fabulous bunker transfers I haven't been able to hear any audible upgrades to any of the killer transfers Mark made. My hearing is not really up to par anymore...

Truly incredible sound. Can't detect any detrimental artifacts from the vinyl at all really. :boggle:
Thanks Sebastian! I spent the whole day making 2 new and improved power cords for permanent use in the analog/digital transfer rig, fully loaded with high grade SBT serum. I only had time for this test, after finishing late this evening. Sorry, it's one I've done many times before, but I think it offers something extra this time around

Don't you love the minor chord on guitar, behind the words "then I'll find (another girl)", especially with the bass hitting the note it does. And the piano in the break! Also the drums - complete with fantastic sloppy/tight fills and rolls that you'd seldom (if ever) find in a modern recording.

Here are some photos I took of the cable making process

First, wrap the cheap Chinese plastic black cable with 3M Micropore tape

Cable1.jpg

Next, find a doorway opening onto fresh air and hang the cables. Paint the first layer of SBT GRAY formula

Cable2.jpg

Paint the next layer, SBT WHITE formula

Cable3.jpg

Next, another layer of SBT GRAY formula serum

Cable4.jpg

Next will be the SBT BLACK serum, so I mixed up a new batch

Cable5.jpg

This is what the BLACK serum looks like when it's painted on. You can see the shiny mica

Cable6.jpg

An extra thick layer of SBT GRAY serum on both ends of the cable. It's critical to get heavy coverage of GRAY formula on the plugs. Later I covered these with more SBT BLACK serum. I never leave the GRAY serum exposed, as it has the heavy duty active ingredients.

Then for good measure I decided to completely treat the exterior of the Mytek A/D converter with the 3 part SBT serum

early xmas present coming your way...hahaha:sneaky::boggle::yikes::sunny: 1630948633965.png

I've given up trying to be neat with my experiments. The Mytek has already suffered worse than that on previous occasions. At one stage it was completely blue, covered in anti-vibration magic. In fact, the AVM is still there, underneath the SBT serum. Then I had it covered in fo.Q tape, and my own TFT tape. To say nothing of what I've done inside the unit...:boggle: everything coated with AVM, graphene and several components completely removed or re-wired.

I found the perfect base material for SBT tape to wrap around cables. It's called Elastoplast Pre-Taping Underwrap. It is better than 3M Micropore, because it has a peelable layer covering the adhesive. This makes it perfect to paint the serum on in advance, leaving the adhesive unpeeled. After painting the tape you can roll it back up and cut and peel it as you need it. It's also very thin but being made of fabric it's stronger than 3M which is paper and tears too easily. Also the perforations are better, allowing the serum to saturate the tape better. It could be painted with all 3 layers, grey, white and black. Then sealed with a pure PVA layer. It has another huge advantage over the "nano-tape" which I used to use - it's easy to remove. Plus it allows the serum to get very close to the surface of the cable, separated only by a thin layer of mild adhesive. All in all, it's perfect.

Here it is

I had to buy 9 different tapes to find the best one. Luckily the best value one is by far the best overall

Next, the SBT white layer test. All good so far....

whitelayer.jpg

The white layer is completely safe. It consists of all natural ingredients only. Titanium dioxide (also known as sunscreen), tourmaline powder (sold widely for its health benefits), and mica (an ingredient in pearly soaps and shampoo). That's why the white layer goes on top of the gray layer.

The tape is now ready to use, but I'm going to add one more layer of pure PVA glue. This will seal everything safely, and also make the tape completely non conductive. Because carbon is very conductive, but PVA is an insulating substance.

Here is the first installation for my Marshall kitchen setup. I cut the tape into strips. I was pleasantly surprised because the tape is stretchable and wraps around connectors beautifully. IAt first I didn't realise that, and I cut the pieces small just for the top (wide) part of the connectors. For the other end of the cable, I cut a full width, and stretched it like rubber around the entire connector. Great! Sounds fantastic! The tape can be removed very easily.

I used the last small leftover piece for the power cable. Much more powerful result than the interconnect cables!

Here is the first production run of the new SBT tape. It has all 3 coatings, but the black layer is still wet. Tomorrow when it's dry I will add the PVA safety layer. Then I'm going to wrap the entire Kuzma tonearm with it. I already removed all other TFT pieces which I had stuck all over the tonearm, so it's ready to go tomorrow. I have a strong feeling it will make a huge difference to the sound quality, because of the tonearm cable which runs right through the tonearm. The SBT formula is able to affect its target from a distance, without actually touching anything, so it should penetrate the tonearm casing and act on the internal wiring.

Thanks Jim. You may not be aware and I should have noted - the flac and mp3 versions of the SillyWhimTest are exactly the same. The file format is the only difference, so they should sound exactly the same (or very close).
Just to clear things up, no pun intended, my hearing has rapidly declined especially on the crispy high notes. It makes me sad and wish I was sixteen again (hearing wise).
To me the standard for excellent sound are the bunker files you did. I do play around with my equalizer when listening to other music just to achieve that bunker listening pleasure! So many thanks and lots of gratitude to you :tiphat:

I was wondering which 5 tracks to transfer, to test out the new SBT tape (which I installed today). If anyone has any suggestions, that would be great. Nothing that is already legitimately released from mastertapes, (or planned for legit mastertape release in the near future). Not that anyone is reading this anyway ('cept for us cranks).
