A question asked on the GPF 4 years ago but received no response. I'll try here.

What do we know about these guys? area? was this released as a 45? etc.

if i can correctly remember what Professor Mop Top and a few others said before, the 45 came out in 1970, and the band was from either NY or California....(?)

i believe this track/band appears listed on the first Gravel next to an incorrect geographical local, and then reappears later (on vol 2) with the right one

It's on a label called Lauren, part of a set of labels owned by the late Carl Edelson, such as La Salle (not the same label from Chicago), Carldell, Roundtable to name a few.

Not quite. It's listed on Gravel 2, but that song is in fact Three Letter Word by Beau Gents (which also appears on Gravel 1...).

Thanks for sharing guys. absolutely love the track, the vocal is so raw. "my hair is long, you cry 'bitch'"...

Not knowing anything was bugging me

anyone lucky enough to own one?

I have a simple question that relates to this. Was the Tommy Burke mentioned above the Memphis located artist of Tommy Burk & The Counts fame?
