If you had to pick your #1 favourite song off of a compilation album/CD which one would it be and why? (Stereo, mastertapes, superb mono, or just plain fave song of all times etc.)

Shaynes - From My Window (numerous comps), my all time fave.

Then along came the Jujus on the same album and I was forever lost to garage and psych 45's :nope:

That's 3 #1's! But then again, I have a similar problem. There are around 200 songs all occupying my no.1 position.

I've always thought "On a windowsil" to be a good companion to "From my window". Those two, along with "Stop!" would likely be among those 200.

What a great "problem" to have;)

We are the Lucky people in this world.... Long live garage in all and any format. (If I had to choose my # 1's from the bunker my list would be endless):D

Funny thing, in the mid eighties I came across a price guide for US 45's, Squires, Jujus and other top notch 45's were all priced at $1 dollar. So I thought collecting them would be a piece of cake....
That turned out to be a bit different to say the least :boggle:

Wish I was mate, getting old ain't that much fun. Have a go at Neil Young's Old Man and Pretty Things' Old Man Going....

Yep, as much as I still love '60s garage, I no longer get that powder-keg-being-detonated-under-you effect I used to get in my 20s, 30s, and even 40s, and even early 50s, while listening to one of my faves.

So so comps a couple of cool songs, nothing shocking to be found here

Well if that "Don't Send me No Flowers" version didn't shock you then I doubt you're on the right forum. For a comp so late in the game Lost Souls 1 is a great compilation, extremely well presented with well researched liners and some unknowns even for long time connoisseurs. Maybe not as great as "Up From the Grave" that came 2 yrs later, but that would be asking too much.
