You guys do realize that my G45 avatar has been the PURPLE VIRUS Law Of The Jungle 45 label for a number of years now...right?Now I'm certain the world is coming to an end.![]()
I talked to one of the band guys years ago and they didn't have any copies. Barry W. has the 45.Has anybody located copies of the Shakels “Just Looking for You”/“ Whizz #7” ? It was on grave 9 but haven’t seen an actual copy.
There are 2 Just Too Much 45s, the other one is G+, not sure who has it now.
Well that is a reasonable price if it plays without groove distortion. It would suggest maybe $4.5k for a nice vg+ and $6k max for a near mint copy.A g+ copy went for $950 this past February.
I only bid on G+ records if I'm beyond desperate. Anything below vg makes me shrink back in horror. The market never seems to follow the Goldmine grading guide proportionality rule. In practice, G+ records seem to go for 1/4 to 1/3 M- values.

If it's the copy shakesomeaction supposedly had, it could not be produced when I asked for a transfer for the BFTG9 reissue. He said he made a transfer for me, but sent it to Austria instead of Australia. He never re-sent it despite my many requests. He was unable to make a label scan because he didn't have access to a scanner, even though he was head of music at the BBC. He was also unable to tell me the title of the flipside. Maybe he confused it with some other 45.
For this reason I would need to see a scan (or to be assured by MTM that he has personally seen the 45 or a scan), before I believe that the second copy actually exists.

Black wins for me.The Black Vs Blue challenge
Here are some of the best (and a few fillers) of all the USA '60 garage bands with names starting with "Black" and "Blue". Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to listen on youtube to all the 45s shown (if you don't know them already), and then give your opinion which is better --- Black or Blue ?? I have already made up my mind...
I did not include the many additional 45s that start with "Blues", as they are a different batch. "Twice Before The Ministry" (or Minister) is by Blue Mist.
