How Unknown Can You Go?

I'm not sure, there's nothing asking to download, I just get redirected each time to some page with cellphone in the address and it's just blank white and says "Not Found" It's been this way for at least a week. It could be a Canadian thing but it's not my anti-virus which sometimes doesn't like sites but at least lets me override it's warning.
weird, when I click on the link it goes to divshare and a box opens that says my firefox player needs to be upgraded. I close it out and the try again, Sometimes it takes a few times but then it finally works.

I think more G45 members should participate in the contest voting.
I'm sure many feel too intimidated to even submit a song at this point.
That is, if any even log in here anymore....

I will say I like the prospect of unknowns - totally and completely unknown unknowns.

But I had a busy and fun summer in the great outdoors catching fish, treasure hunting, jumping in swimming holes, camping, sitting around campfires, cutting down trees and destroying an old shed in my backyard, digging around for records, hiking, and enjoying my wife and family. I spent very little time here in front of the big computer. By the time I realized what was going on in this thread it was huge.

We went back to work two weeks ago and school started last week. At this point the idea of digging through all of these sound clips is not in the least bit appealing. I'd honestly rather put on "Abandoned Lunchonette" and lay in the floor playing dominoes with my 7 year old. Revoke my teenbeatfuzz membership card.

I've been wondering if I have anything to post and I don't think I have anything worthy of messing with recording and transferring and uploading so people can download and rate it as a 3, however deserving the 3 may be.

Though I did get a cool recording of a rehearsal by a local teen combo that lost its rhythm section to the Knights Bridge shortly after. No originals, but some neat stuff including a very early cover of "I Had Too Much to Dream".

I've given up on Divshare. It's a Living Virus. So let's try this. I hope this works. Mark, switch these out when you find the time...The songs have a few added silent spots. All these songs will be on upcoming comps and I don't want them to end up on Gulag Greats Volume 69.

Here are a few unknowns from me, that are not official entries. If I can't win on quality, I'll grab the quantity booby prize! :D None are in TBM for an obvious reason, and none have ever been released... Very alert members may know these from my more ancient posts on other forums...

2nd one especially cool

No more bonus tracks for a while from me I'm afraid. Damaged my stylus on an edge chip, and now it's playing like a lathe cutter :(

When is Fine Records Story coming out?

When is Fine Records Story coming out?

The quality of the tapes is so uneven, it would be frustrating trying to make a cohesive set. There are only a few killer garage tracks, and the best of those have already appeared on Norton acetate comps. What's left is either mediocre, not garage, or damaged tapes. However, there is a lot of this kind of stuff! I'll continue to put a few up here.

Here's 3

Yeah, not great, but still a notch or two up from the IGL fillers. I remember you salvaged a few which were yet a notch up from these three (back in the gas mask days!) Two and three above are comp-able though. Not sure about 1.

OK.... I can already hear the voices of g45 members saying "that ain't garage - Nil Points" ;).

Here is another entry from me

https://soundcloud.com/agentugly/temptation.

I'd give it a big 9. but I can't vote on my own.

An old gentleman I met last week played this on his phone to me, it is his band out of CA sometime in 1963.

Enjoy... and remember a vote for Hicksville is a vote for desperation.

If Mark would have created a unknown and rare Surf contest you would have had a winner, but since this is a GARAGE contest it shouldn't qualify. Cool song though. ;)
