Insane Collection update

Yeah, the way I figured it when I started selling there, the local store would offer me like five cents for any indie rock 45. If I can get $4 for even one of the ones sitting in my closet, I just made as much as bringing the store 80 records(well, less 8%).

I'm sure discogs works well depending on your genre of sale, but 45s, psych / garage is beyond lame.
More tedious than ebay, because on ebay, I can see more in a page scroll, and then sort out stuff I don't want to see.

Lots of fools pollute discogs trying to sell 45s at x5 a realistic price, and not even in US dollars.
The ratio of pollution to reasonable sale offerings is far out of proportion as compared to ebay.

If I wanna sell something, i do not want to have to deal with adding information to a database.
A list posted somewhere, like here. I can't be bothered doing all of that work for a bunch of 45s.

The January list has been delayed by about one day. Estimated time about 48 hours from now. I will give the exact time at least 24 hours in advance.

I sell quite a bit on Discogs and always try to have extra reasonable prices on my records.
One of the problems I find is that there aren't enough buyers on there for 45's. And/Or there aren't listings at all for a lot of 50's & 60's 45's. I have a lot of nice garage records I would be selling there if those factors were in place!

There will always be those sellers that will put stuff up for crazy high prices, and those will always be the listings you see up for a desirable record. The reasonably priced copies of records that have a few wants will usually go fast.

The list will go up at 10:00 AM Tuesday morning, Sydney time. That is,

12:00 PM Monday (midnight) (Berlin)
11:00 PM Monday night (London)
6:00 PM Monday night (New York)
3:00 PM Monday afternoon (Los Angeles)

These times are designed to give the USA and UK a better chance than last time. All the records will go up in one lot. They will be posted here and in the Set Sale Supermarket simultaneously.

There are fewer records than I expected, due to reasons too complex to fully explain here. Some have been held over until Feb, some may have been pre-sold to an Australian collector, and some have been sold to members here who supplied a want list. Obviously some of the bigger items have been sold to want list customers, such as:

Bummers acetate (my #1 want, which I knew Peter had in his collection $2250, sold)
Murphy & The Mob - "Born Loser" (vg++, $1600 someone's #1 want, sold)
Chob - "We're Pretty Quick" (m-, $1800 someone's #1 want, sold)
Outcasts - "1523 Blair" (near ex, $1200, someone's #2 want, sold)

and a few less spectacular items such as Mussies on Fenton, Mysterions on Jox.

There's still a few quite big items for sale, as you will see.

You don't have any competition for your wants, John. A couple are wanted by others, but not as high on their lists.

Amazing stuff. Regretting submitting my list alphabetically rather than in order of desperation but pretty impossible to distinguish between 4th and 5th absolutely essential, kidney selling need anyway.

"We're Pretty Quick" is a major contributor to my addiction, first two comps I stumbled across were a Best of the Pebbles and a Mayhem and Psychosis. Aged 17. Downhill since. :-) . Huge congrats to whoever snagged that.

There's some bad news. I am pulling out of assisting with the Peter Bliek sale.
All the records will still be sold somehow, but I am unsure how it will happen.

The reason for pulling out, is that Marek wants to sell privately off the lists at the same time as offering them via the forum. I can't work that way.

It's disappointing, but I don't want my reputation trashed after promising I would assist people with their wants. I have no idea what happens from here, except I am out.

The question is that Mark send to me a message today, very angry with marek because he sold the Outcast - 1523 Blair, to other collector when i was agree with his price, i want to thank to Mark all his efforts to try to sell this collection here and i understand that he don`t want to help marek to sell the collection.
