Question regarding Ronnie Cook and the Gaylads, non garage I guess.......

There seems to be very little about the band The Gaylads, and Ronnie Cook, who became known for the song "The Goo Goo Muck", (Audan 112, from 1962) covered by many but most know the cover by the Cramps.
Do any of you know anything about this group/singer? Did they record anything else, or were they just a tiny one hit wonder?
I like the original the best! Killer sax solo!

There's a nice little blurb written by Alec Palao about the GAYLADS in the Ace CD Birth Of Soul: Los Angeles Special. It also includes from Alec's collection the only known photo of them. Both Ronnie Cook and the Gaylads were from Bakersfield, Ca.
