So.... Buddy of mine just found a copy of the 1965 Sanctions 12 song acetate(that was re-issued in 2000 on that "Then Came The Electric Prunes" LP).... I assume that he will want to sell it and would love to make him a reasonable offer.... What would be a correct price for such a thing?

Sure.... condition is always a primary concern (something I am reminded of every time a beat to hell 45 that I "won" online shows up in the mail).... I mentioned to him that it it is cleaner than the one that the reissue was mastered from that would be a nice selling point for an archivist type.. Let's say that it isn't though and we are looking at something that looks VG- (and most audiodiscs tend to play producing more static than vinyl anyway).... Any thoughts on a ballpark? Or better yet, are there any stats of just how many of these were cut (or if any have changed hands with a publicly known price connected to said transaction)?

The fact the the songs have been reissued and aren't unheard also lessens the value in my personal opinion. A 15 song Bossmen acetate recently went unsold for I believe the same reason - all songs had already been compiled on a CD release.
