Festive season rapidly approaching + another recession coming up = two reasons to think about allocating your hard earned cash to the right investments. On the top of most everybody's list here ranks TBM. Now of course you could wait until the Euro zone blows up and the $$ exchange rate takes a turn for the better, Mike. But you could also put the book out NOW while the saving account of some is still positive, right? Personally, I'd highly support the latter!
Mike, anally retentive question here... does you book go as far to even document Matrix Numbers of the vinyls??

I know you were hoping for a TeenBeat Mayhem! Christmas gift to yourselves, but good things come to those who continue to be patient.
66 are full-color pages - 9 pages present selected array of pic sleeves and the remaining 57 color pages depict color label scans of the Top 1000 USA top garage songs.
Over and Out!
Time frame for publication (by my publishing company, more books are in process or in the works!) during the spring 2012.
Greg - We've created "mock"scans for the one-of-a kind acetate tracks that we were unable to obtain. I mean, how hard is it to construct a scan which uses a generic audiodisc label? I think we also have three acetate-only tunes that could not be reconstructed accurately, so Mark opted to use a blank label and typeset the details accordingly on the label. We were able to track down all official labels / 45s that required scans.
A second book is already completed, minus tweaking and implementing to a pro-layout program, but it will only appeal to TeenBeat Mayhem collector oriented diehards, those who want to know the entire rankings from #1 to 14,185 or so - it will list every rated song in descending order. Ranked by the mean along with the full-vote breakdown each song received. The book also has a cross-ref list by title, so you can find a specific song and the vote tally results. I doubt this would sell more than a couple hundred copies, so it will be limited. I know that if my bunch of favorite 60's garage songs failed to make the official Top 1000, I would want to know how they fared, and where they ranked overall. This is the book you would want if you're like me. It will run about 175 pages or so. Inexpensive, too, soft-cover type deal.
A third book in the works focuses on stories from interviews I have done - something that progresses deeper than my single chapter presentation in TeenBeat Mayhem, which uses snippets and quotes from group member accounts to illustrate situations and experiences on a more generalized level. I have things scattered about for this effort but I can't really work on it until I'm done selling tbm.
I've also had initial casual type discussions with a few folks about reprinting some older material in book form which was published elsewhere and is hard to find / out of print, etc. Lots of possibilities here.
One thing is for sure- if you only use a downloadable reader for your book reading diet, you'll want to ignore my efforts!
