Many years ago a high school friend of mine gave me a box of 45's because his parents were moving back to Lansing, Michigan. Most of the 45's were the typical Herb Alpert & Melachrino Strings dribble. After painfully sifting through them I came across 2 copies of The Marauders 45 on the Lee label. The A side was Nightmare and the flip was Lovin'. On the plain white sleeve of one of the copies was a hand written note to my friend's mom and it was signed "Gerry". Sadly I had to sell both copies on ebay in a desperate attempt to save my house from foreclosure.

Can anybody tell me who these guys are? All I know is that they were from the Buchanan, MI area and recorded the 45 on the Lee label in Lansing. Were any other songs recorded (by any band) on that label?220112126166.jpg

The Wayward Five had a couple singles on Lee.

The Rainmakers who recorded on Phalanx had their weakest release on Lee, "Do You Feel It" but with a good guitar break.
