I completely agree. It’s in the 4 to 5 range in my opinion.

Sounds like the same backing track as the Pat and Lolly Vegas recording - their vocal is better than the gonad pinched sounds of Mr. Dominico. The P&LV version goes for 20% or less than 500 clams. Some sucker...er...'forward thinking DJ' probably has no clue about this (and the Len and Glen version which I dig)

I agree, it does sound like the same backing track.
If the label P & L Records stands for Pat & Lolly, which seems likely, they might be involved in the making of the record

Yeah the vocals on this version are by far the weakest thing about it

I am the one. Heard it for the first time and loved it. I did not pay $500, but did a trade for some UK singles. Have since heard Pat & Lolly and yes that one is the superior version

I prefer the amateurish melodrama of Michael Dominico's vocal over the polished LA studio-pop style of Pat & Lolly's

Here's a cool little video on the Pinoy scene. Some great pics and band names to investigate, all new to me. So far it's led me to a killer instro by RJ and the Riots - Fuzzed. Their whole album is on Spotify.
