I completely agree. It’s in the 4 to 5 range in my opinion. This recently sold for $500 on one of the FB groups, pretty sure it's new to me but I wouldn't go over 5 rating wise, what ya think?
Sounds like the same backing track as the Pat and Lolly Vegas recording - their vocal is better than the gonad pinched sounds of Mr. Dominico. The P&LV version goes for 20% or less than 500 clams. Some sucker...er...'forward thinking DJ' probably has no clue about this (and the Len and Glen version which I dig)This recently sold for $500 on one of the FB groups, pretty sure it's new to me but I wouldn't go over 5 rating wise, what ya think?
Yeah the vocals on this version are by far the weakest thing about itSounds like the same backing track as the Pat and Lolly Vegas recording - their vocal is better than the gonad pinched sounds of Mr. Dominico. I am the one. Heard it for the first time and loved it. I did not pay $500, but did a trade for some UK singles. Have since heard Pat & Lolly and yes that one is the superior versionSounds like the same backing track as the Pat and Lolly Vegas recording - their vocal is better than the gonad pinched sounds of Mr. Dominico. I had a copy of that 45 a while back, and when I did some research on it I realised that it's not actually on the Artone label (despite the logo being on the sleeve), but instead just like you write, a custom press made by Artone/CBS Haarlem Special Products. All of those have a VR-*** catalogue number:There have been inquires about the Dutch Want Group. It's a bit of a strange story given their release on Artone, major label home to many Dutch beat 45's. In reality this is a private release by this band from Groningen a northern province of Holland. In 66 they brought over their own master tapes to Artone and had their 45 pressed. Nevertheless it remains a private pressing released in a very small quantity, thus being rare and sought-after, a lots of bucks item. Hope this info will shed some light on this near unknown Dutch 45.![]()
Fabulous 2 sider. The B side brings tears to my eyes, yes it is that good!Noisy unreleased acetate!
