Brings Gary Lewis & The Playboys to mind. It’s a bit lightweight, so I understand the rating although I’d bump it to a 5.This got a three or four in TBM if I remember correctly.
In my world this is Pop Perfection, What's wrong w/yall? This is nine.
the drummer's FILLS is worth nine alone.
They also recorded a decent version of "Look Through Any Window" in '67.
Hal Blaine and Leon Russell never projected this level of crude menace on their Gary Lewis sessions...lolBrings Gary Lewis & The Playboys to mind. It’s a bit lightweight, so I understand the rating although I’d bump it to a 5.
Fwiw this is a "recently discovered" version, an early mono recording of the album track. Not comped or on the reissue AFAIKHappy Halloween
I believe they released a 45 in 1966 of two covers as Sano & The Saints 5.A Milwaukee Wisconsin show "Sumthin' Else"apparently, can't find anything about the Saints 5, a couple of tough covers here
Believe you're right, and from what I can gather, the 45 should be credited to Santo, not Sano, and Santo is the vocalist on the cover of Steppin' Out at the end of the clip. Wish there was more with him singing.I believe they released a 45 in 1966 of two covers as Sano & The Saints 5.
It’s actually Sano. https://www.discogs.com/artist/2787...T-7tg-CufBOWuaij69iQFpGOcxhKJ2a7_p5VtqrnGlq94Believe you're right, and from what I can gather, the 45 should be credited to Santo, not Sano, and Santo is the vocalist on the cover of Steppin' Out at the end of the clip.
