Foolish People: clueless ebay record sellers

interesting seller excuse for cancelling an order:

I screwed this one up bigtime. Had it in the ultrasonic and put the heat to it which helps a lot and then another order came in. With two strokes in the last year, My health & powers of concentration are not what they used to be for sure. It is what it is and with the quality and quantity + a love for vinyl, I'll keep on keeping on. Sorry about this but if I can find another one or staighten this one out, I will get in touch.​
 
I see that quit a lot - but it's probably the same couple of sellers. At least you can make an offer, so presumably he'll take something under his original mb.

Something else I see a lot of is listings inviting people to "listen" or "hear", but no sound bite is provided. Some sellers, it seems, do it on purpose because either the song sucks, or the audio quality is terrible, but they want you to think not uploading a sound file was an oversight or a technical glitch so as to make it appear that they have nothing to hide, really. Here's a prime example:

I have a mint minus / looks perfect copy of the Psychotrons.
It was found in a load of 45s purchased by a North Carolina based record dealer maybe 15 years ago. It was consigned to a guy I know, who told me 5 grand, no less, would be the cost. I ended up paying $1,500 cash - most money I've ever paid toward any 45 in my collection - and traded $3,500 worth of northern soul 45s.
i don't regret it at all.
Based on some of the current astronomical asking prices posted on discogs, I wouldn't say 5 grand is out of line for a Mint minus copy of the Psychotrons.

D-man must be referencing the NorCal 45 I got off him that he found for 50 cents.
That did cost more but I sold 45s to pay for all of it. So that's more akin to a 3-way trade than a direct purchase.

The Psychotrons deal came quick, at a time when other guys were hounding for it. I had two days to come up with payment so I had to shell out cash from savings plus deal the northern soul 45s. Looking back, the dealer would have made 3 or 4 X the $3500 value based on what some titles are fetching.

Since the seller is bubbacrumb, and the condition is mint minus, I would be very wary that it could be a quantity find. He burned me once on the Savoys (Orlyn) when he had m- multiples, and then tried to burn me twice on the same 45. The guy has no scruples whatsoever.
