How very 'un-garage' of me to ask

From memory, I think that I read that this style of music could fall under (or near) "exploito" (again, by memory and I may not have the correct theme or proper name description.)

I was thinking of two songs in particular; Forum "Trip On Me" and Answer "Sweet Sour Bitter. "

I was curious if this particular type of music is classified as a certain type of genre ("adult ez listening psych?") and also... it seems like there are compilations these days for about every type of music. Any comps that come to mind that specialize in this type of style?
