How rare is this masterpiece? What else is known other than the fact that they were from chattanooga?

It is not known where the group came from. No one in Chattanooga that was involved in the rock music scene heard of them, based upon my legwork visiting that area.

I apparently have the only known copy. As I did not make dubs of it for anyone, the original owner did so, and that is why the songs have appeared on compilations

Did you visit the store 'Chad's' in Chattanooga Mike???... I was in there before I had to catch a Greyhound up the east coast, ran out of time to do any real searching, but it seemed to have stacks of 45s to my recollection.

Yes, I've been there on two different occasions, but never really found any 45s beyond commonplace titles. It gets hit pretty regularly by visiting collectors and some locals.

Seriously, are there any record stores left in the U.S. where rare records can be found on the cheap. I haven't been in a record store in Sacramento (or anywhere) in over 20 years. But I still do quite well in the wild.

So nothing is known at this point then? Did the guys who did The Psychedelic Experience just assume that they were from Chattanooga?

I talked with the label/studio owner a number of times a few years back and he only remembered the Reflections. He thought he might have a bunch of stuff (tapes, records. photos, contracts) at his daughter's house in Florida but he never followed up up on it or called me back as promised.

I've go there everytime I visit Chattanooga which is at least a few times a year. It's rather picked over as Mike said. Chad is a great guy and is a garage collector himself. if you want to hear a story that will either make you laugh or cry, ask him about the guy who found 2 mint copies of the Expressions and left them in the back seat of his car on leather seats one hot Tennessee day. He didn't have the heart to tell the guy what he had destroyed.

I had a lead for a Peabody Hermitage member from an old ex AM radio DJ . He told me to seek out a guy who used to live in Asheville, NC in 1968 but I was never able to find him.

I dig Chattanooga, I found the place although small to have a real old vibe about it, for me being a Brit it felt a little like being in the 1920s Americana, what with all the rail lines and old brick buildings.... I like the place.

I did pick up a ? and the Mysterians 45 in Chads, but that was it.... boy, how I'd love to find an Expressions.... can't believe the guy left them to cook into his car interior, what a dope!!!

Is it one of those records the band stands as the writers?
