Surprise, surprise - idle chatter about TBM

These (as well as 'Promises') are all solid and I agree belong in the TBM updates. 'Stop All These Changes' is really right up my alley. I assume there is no group name on the acetate?

You are correct greenfuzz. They are all acetates. The Original Cast has the name on it, so I knew who the band was.

I'm not listing 12 inch acetates with multiple tracks on them (which is the format of the Original Cast source, when I saw the scans vinyl 01 sent last year.). Otherwise, there are way too many other ones that would need to be listed.
45 rpm 7 or 10 inch EPs with four to six tracks are listed provided they have the sound.

The original cast acetates are 10 inch, but have one song on each side. I have two acetates. Also, I do have a 45 acetate of the song ''stop all these changes''.

Can you add it now?

Thanks vinyl01, I dig all those Original Cast songs! Are they Bell acetates as well?

This what it looks like. Yes, I agree, it sounds very much like Del Shannon. Why, probably he was a big star in his day. Do you mean ''I wonder why'' by Dion & belmonts? I do not know who the artist is. I was hoping someone here would tell us.

I meant Del Shannon not Dion. Don't the lyrics go: I wonder - Why Why Why - She ran Away - My little Runaway - Run, Run Run Runaway. Or something close to that? Way back when, we played Runaway in 66 when we had Jeff Keast as our keyboardist. He played both a compact organ and a compact electric piano, which was what was used in the Del Shannon version.

The Dion song I'll have to think on a minute. I remember it, but "old timers" has struck again at the moment. Was it - I wonder why she cried and why she lied to me.

A Musitron was played on the original.

vinyl, that's a great song I forgot about. I wonder if you could get away with all the words whop in it today? Some Italian guy might get pissed. And, you'll have to excuse my ignorance, but I'm just a drummer. What's a Musitron? It sounds more like some sort of organ than piano. But our guy used a small electric type piano which he put on top of his compact organ. It still had a pretty good sound. Del Shannon grew up about 45 miles from where I live. He was great and the very first musician inducted into the Michigan R&R Hall of Fame.

Frantic, the first time I clicked on the Del Shannon link, a bunch of different pictures and songs came up. Where is that? Runaway was one of the songs and sleeves in this block of pictures and songs. I'd like to see that again. Were they all Del Shannon songs? Now when I click it I get Wickapedia or what ever it's called.
