What are you listening to and what do you have to say about it?

Depressions FU2 on the French Beat label

a $1 Dapto market find, couldn't resist the tacky cover and band names, got home and looked them up and it seems it is the Downliner Sect circa 1977 gone 70's punk! great stuff, tho funny at times

Yep - great clip! It's been "known but not seen" for decades until now, when some genius found it and uploaded it to YT.

Just listened to a partial version of Just In Case's "In Memory".

I think I got it from someone on here, but I don't remember how or when...anyone have a full version? Mine's not of good quality, either.

I just picked up a legit reissue of that title ("PUNK ROCK by FU2" in this case). Some great moments on here, and further proof of the supremacy of vintage "fake punk." (Still kicking myself for passing up on that repress of Los Exitos de los Sex Pistols por Los Punk Rockers). I recall the discussion of fake punk bands (i.e. The Pack from Germany) being on another board (terminal boredom?). Anyway, good score!

turned out that the copy was not EX/EX but EX/NM

... and this over-known classic made my day again, punchy mono killer sound, sounds as fresh as I was spinning it for the first time ever (been years I hadn't played my reissue copy anyway).

It's such a shame the Ace reissue was released on an awfull bloody CD only, such a classic would have definitely deserved a double LP treatment. Ace /Big Beat did a fantastic job with the recent Wheels Lp release, how comes they didn't decide to do the same with the Seeds, this totally escapes me.

Congratulations! That´s the bona fide first pressing. Been looking for that one myself. Guess I´ll have to up my game a bit.

A friend made a hi-res dvd-a needle drop of Nuggets Volume 2 Punk from Rhino for me several years ago, but my player at the time couldn't play it back. I just got a new universal player that can play dvd-a discs, and finally got to hear it. My buddy's needle drops are on par with boss' work, so it was great hearing that album hand de-clicked and in great sound.
