What are you listening to and what do you have to say about it?

Sat and graded school work last night-- so savage-- and spun the Beau Brummels debut for the first time in quite some time...

"That's If You Want Me To" is killing me at the moment.

Diggin' on "They'll Make You Cry" as well.

This absolutely *defines* the term 'moody monster', an glorious ultra-lo-fi 60's folk rocker probably from rural England http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pVNI2_kItc ...some of y'all might balk at the presence of a banjo here, but those in the know will easily see that this more than stands up to The Stonemen, Riots, Drones' "I'm Down Today", Schibbinnz, etc. ...anyone know more about the identity of this band? they have a few other great, but much dorkier cover tunes on this same channel, which btw is almost the only thing i been listening to lately...don't be fooled by the name either, there's all kindsa strange UK obscurities on here, including plenty of Deroy label stuff....

Got this recently on Ebay(vid is from the seller). Probably played it 50 times in the last week! Can't seem to get any hits on the record or the group via internet search. Anyone ever come across this or know anything about the group?? Also any suggestions for tunes in this vein are greatly appreciated!

Funny, just picked up another Encore 45 at the record fair last weekend. Buck Ram affiliated. Can´t for the life of me remember the name of the band. One side was called Potato Chip. Yours is clearly the better 45 of the two. Sounds cool!

Came across some info about a resort called the Xanadu Hotel where Hollywood types hung out. They may have been a house band for the hotel. The flip side has a "live" sound where you can hear the crowd.
I've definitely come across the label before in the past, and the Buck Ram connection may be why I'm thinking it was a doo wop song.

Here's another thing I can't seem to find anything on. None of the credits develped into any leads. I'd love to know where they're from and if they ACTUALLY were on death row/in prison i.e. The Prisonaires. Been playing it quite a bit since i picked up a few weeks back. Not quite a punker, but raw primitive blue eyed soul attempt. photo.JPG

That looks so cool. I guess if it is true they are dead now.:(

Also, been listening to IT CAME FROM THE GARAGE complilation of So Cal nuggets. One track in particular is driving me insane...

The Last Words - Don't Call Me, I'll Call You

Was the instrumental to this released? I'm sure I know this and can't remember what it is, though. My brain is fried after 50 listens.....

Hah! This looks amazing. Both the band name and CONKER.

Just listening to the latest 45 arrival, Roll over Stephen Foster by the Plymouth Rockers & then moving on to Lee De Parade´s excellent folk special on Spotify!
